What the news says about this game

SMU lost 41-31 to No. 23 Louisville on Sept. 20, falling to 2-1 after a strong start. Louisville's offense was led by Keyjuan Brown's 163 yards and 2 TDs. Missouri State is 1-2 with their own 30-24 loss to Marshall on Sept. 20, where Carlos Del Rio-Wilson threw for 249 yards and 2 TDs but couldn't get the win. Both teams come off consecutive defeats with only six days to prepare. SMU showed early offensive power with Kevin Jennings throwing 5 TDs against UC Davis, but Louisville's recent win suggests the Mustangs have vulnerabilities to exploit.
