What the news says about this game

Texas Tech beat Sam Houston 49-14 on Sept. 26. The dominant home victory against a 1-2 visiting team was routine, with the No. 11-ranked Red Raiders controlling the game. Star tight end Terrance Carter Jr. was ruled out pre-game with an AC joint issue. The highlight: linebacker Austin Romaine returned two interceptions for touchdowns on consecutive passes—the first FBS player in 13 years to accomplish that feat.
