How to read it. An average starter is 72 and every 8 points is one standard
deviation, so 88 is a genuine star and 96 is among the best in the league. Ratings are
comparable within a position, not across positions.
Confidence says how much football is behind the number: high means he has a
starter workload, low means we are mostly guessing from the position average.
n is the opportunities the trait rests on and ± is its error bar.
Two players can share a rating and one of them be far less certain.
The OL tab rates each line as a unit, because no per-man blocking data is published anywhere free. Its pressure and run-blocking numbers are adjusted for the pass rushes and run defences that line actually faced.
Each position also lists what it cannot measure from free data. Those are real
gaps, not oversights, and they are the honest limit of what these cards claim.
